Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service apply to the purchase of tickets for, and attendance at, Applied AI Conference 2027, organised by TechEuropeEcosystem GmbH. By requesting or purchasing a ticket, or by attending the event, you agree to these terms.

2. Tickets and Payment

Tickets are sold on this website. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number. All prices are in EUR and are net prices: German VAT (currently 19%) is added on top at checkout.

Tickets are subject to approval. When you request a ticket, your card is authorised for the ticket price but is not charged — the amount is held by your bank while we review your request. If we approve it, the hold is captured, the purchase becomes binding, and you receive your ticket by email. If we decline it, or if we do not review it in time, the hold is released and you are not charged. Depending on your bank, a released hold can take a few business days to disappear from your statement.

3. Refunds and Cancellation

Paid tickets: refunds are available up to 30 days before the event date. After that deadline no refunds are issued. To request a refund, contact info@techeurope.io with your order confirmation.

Because a ticket is for a leisure event tied to a specific date, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply (§ 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB). The refund policy above applies instead, and is more generous than the statutory position.

4. Partner Communications and Data Sharing

The event is supported by premium, gold and selected community partners, listed at our partners page. Where you have given consent, the registration data you provide (name, email address, role, company) may be shared with those partners so they can contact you with updates or information connected to the event.

Partners are required to process your data in compliance with the GDPR and to apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. You may withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in any partner email, or by contacting info@techeurope.io. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

5. Attendee Account, Networking and Badge Scanning

The event provides an attendee account in which you can create a profile (name, role, company, LinkedIn URL, bio) and are issued a personal QR code. Networking is opt-in: your profile is shown to other attendees only if you turn it on.

If you opt in, displaying your QR code so that another attendee or a partner can scan it shares the profile above with them, and they may keep it in their contacts. There is no per-scan opt-out — if you do not want to be scanned, do not display your code. You can withdraw entirely at any time by deleting your account, which removes your profile from other attendees' contact lists.

Your entry ticket carries a separate QR code used only to admit you at the door. It is not a networking code and scanning it does not share your profile.

6. Event Changes

The organiser may modify the programme, including speakers, session times and rooms, without prior notice. If the organiser cancels the event entirely, all ticket holders receive a full refund of the ticket price.

7. Liability

Attendance is at the attendee's own risk. The organiser is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property at the venue, nor for personal injury, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct of the organiser. The organiser's liability is otherwise limited to the ticket price paid. The organiser is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from attendance.

8. Code of Conduct

All attendees are expected to comply with our Code of Conduct. Violations may result in removal from the event without a refund.

9. Photography, Recording and Speaker Content

Photos and video may be taken throughout the event. By attending, you consent to your image and likeness being used by the organiser and event partners for promotional, communication and documentation purposes, in digital and print formats. If you would prefer not to be photographed, tell the on-site team at check-in.

Attendees may take personal photos and short clips for social media. Full recording or live-streaming of talks, sessions or workshops is not permitted without prior written consent from the organiser and the relevant speaker, to respect speaker intellectual property and any embargoed content.

Opinions expressed by speakers, partners and sponsors are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of the organiser. The organiser does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of information, products or services presented at the event.
